TUTORIAL/GUIDE: This pattern comes with a written guide! This is not a piece I have made myself, so there are no progress photos to share or video tutorials. However, if you have any questions feel free to message me and I'll try my best to give helpful advice and provide any further clarifications if needed!
NOTE: Files will be emailed out to you within 48 hours. There is no instant download option. Please check the email associated with your Storenvy account or include an email in the notes at check out.
SIZING:
-The pattern may need to be altered to better fit you.
-Patterns can be altered and have some notes about where to make alterations in the sizing but previous knowledge in altering patterns is recommended.
TAG & SHARE WITH ME:
I love seeing what people make when using my templates/patterns or with the help of my videos! If you make something using this and want to share it with me, feel free to send photos via email/messages or tag me on social media (Arlena Fae on all platforms).
PRINTING INFO:
-Templates too large to fit on a single sheet of 8.5x11" (standard US letter paper) are broken down across multiple files. These are all ready to print on 8.5x11" paper with settings set to print without margins.
-You'll need to print the files out at home or a local printer's. If you're absolutely unable to, please message me before purchase. If you're able to cover the shipping and small printing fees, I may be able print and ship them to you.
-There are arrow markings on the sheets to help with aligning the templates after printing.
-A full spread is included when there are pieces too large to fit on a single sheet of paper. A full spread is an image showing the completed, pieced together template piece that was too large to fit on a single sheet of 8.5x11" paper. This can be used as a reference when taping together the larger template pieces and used to resize it digitally (for those comfortable with doing so).
-Please don't ask me how to resize it digitally. I'm not knowledgeable enough about this. I just know having a full spread can make it easier for some people. I can give tips on how to resize after printing though!
-Please refer to this FAQ video and the FAQ section on here to learn more about printing and reading the templates: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIgpmxpwxjc
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES/GENERAL FAQ:
-This is for digital pattern/template files only! There is no physical item. This is not a finished costume piece. It's merely a guide to help you create your own cosplay.
-Please be aware that these are not professional patterns/I am not a professional pattern maker. These are just the patterns I’ve used when making my own cosplays (with some added information + markings) or have made to help others and put them up for sale after many requests to do so. The instruction/format may be different than what you’re normally used to and I’ve done my best to explain what to expect below. If you have any further questions just message me! :)
-File types (not all packages include all that’s listed; please refer to the “includes” section to see what’s included): Templates & Build Guides are jpeg images only (not PDF). I may be able to send a PNG version (with a transparent background) of templates upon request. Ebooks (and only the eBook portion) are PDF files. Write-Ups are word documents (and can be viewed in browser window).
-Pattern/Template sets that contain more than 5 files are packaged in a ZIP/.rar file and may require a program, such as Winrar, to open. There are tutorials on how to unzip a file on Google. If for some reason you are unable to download such a program, message me and I will send the individual files to you via a Dropbox link. It may take up to 48 hours, although I usually will be able to send them out within the same day.
-When it comes to props/costumes that have layers: My patterns are not a tracing over an in-game/show model. If there are multiple layers/details to a piece, my patterns will be broken down into those pieces/layers (only). There are labeled reference photos or markings on the template to show the layer placements, if the placement is not straightforward. If you need further help, just ask! :)
-How my patterns are made: They are drawn by hand and used to create a prop/costume piece (if it’s not one that I’ve yet made then I create a paper mock-up to make sure it’s accurate/works). The final patterns are then traced onto sheets of paper, scanned to my computer and “digital-ized” via an art program.
-If you run into any problems with a pattern/template at any point let me know and I'll do my best to correct & update the pattern and get the new version sent to you asap!
